2. Hosting
This website is hosted on a dedicated server operated by 1blu AG (Riemekestraße 160, 33106 Paderborn, Germany). Data processing takes place entirely within the European Union.
3. Server log files
When the website is accessed, technical data are processed (IP address, time, browser, resource requested). These data serve solely the security and stability of the service and are deleted or anonymised after 14 days at the latest. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
4. Cookies and local storage
We use strictly necessary cookies only — specifically the session cookie for signing in. We set no analytics, marketing or tracking cookies and embed no third-party content (such as Google Fonts, YouTube or Maps).
5. Signing in (magic link)
Signing in is required in order to use the translation comparison. We store your email address for account management and send a one-time sign-in link via our email provider (1blu, EU). No password is stored. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR.
You can delete your account yourself at any time (Art. 17 GDPR) and export your data as a JSON file (Art. 20 GDPR) — both at /en/konto.
6. Translation comparison — processing by Anthropic
When you use the translation comparison, the Bible passage you enter and both context documents are transmitted to Anthropic PBC (548 Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA) in order to produce the translations. Anthropic is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; a data processing agreement is in place. According to Anthropic's own assurance, inputs are not used to train its models. We recommend not including any personal data in your inputs.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR (explicit consent given by using the feature).
7. Contact form
We use the data entered in the contact form solely to process your enquiry and delete them as soon as they are no longer required, after 24 months at the latest.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). To exercise them, contact kontakt@maibible.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — the competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg.
